Last week, I had the chance to meet Ena Narumi, founder of the brand Corefit and Japan's most influential facialist. Over two decades, she developed her own massage treatment pattern for aging-skin. But during her practise, she has seen that skin conditions lays deep under the skin, directly into muscles and fascias and that hands massage can't reach deep inside the skin.

That's why Ena Narumi has developed Corefit, a brand focused on beauty tools dedicated to muscle and fascia stimulation.

Fascia is a connective tissue, linking muscle together with bone. Like a spiderweb or honeycomb, its structure can be even or unstructured from one another.
Fascia is a science trending topic nowadays, many researches proves the connection between pain and fascia but also how a sagging point can affect a muscle somewhere else.

Ena Narumi can be named one of the few facial fascia expert. She has developed Face-Pointer as a tool to relieve fascia and muscle adhesion by pressuring it deep into the skin. Its design, as simple as a pen, can go as deep as 2.5cm into the skin to reach deeper muscles and release tensions. It also has a pressure of up to 700gr, same as a facialist's hands.
While pressuring specific points of fascia and muscle adhesions, the fascia release tensions and muscle can be relaxed. In the case of the face, muscles and fat cells return to its original place and an instant lift occurs on the oval shape, cheeks and brows are lifted, wrinkles are firmer and less visible.

After a very detailed training with Ena Narumi, I have been practising Face-Pointer while working, on train, relaxed at home... it starts to be very easy and results are here ! Because it is small as a pen, I can have it always with me and it become part of my daily beauty routine.

Bioeffect is an icelandic brand specialised in anti-aging cosmetics with its key ingredient EGF (epidermal growth factor), a protein stimulating cellular regeneration and already inside our body, like elastin and collagen. With time passing, we’re producing less and less proteins which slower the regeneration cycle. The skin visibly tends to be thiner, wrinkles start to appear, etc.
For ten year, Bjrn rvar and its team worked on the synthesis of EGF in the purest way possible and they’re the only producer to be able to have this state of perfection thanks barley harvested in their Reyykjavk hothouse through the Orfeus rhythm, a respectful cycle for the plant: growing on volcanic stone, watering with spring water, light bath during 17 hours and repairing rest for 7 hours. The hothouse is self-managed thanks to local geothermal energy for a negative carbon footprint.
Thanks to a farming eliminating all endotoxin (impurity), Bioeffect EGF doesn’t need a lot of ingredients to be efficient, only seven: spring water, vegetal glycerin and hyaluronic acid for exemple.

EGF serum is by far the best seller from Bioeffect, that is also the first one created by Bjrn rvar. It can be used morning only for normal to oily skin or two times a day for dry skin, by applying four drops (a full pipette) on the face, eyes area and neck included with circular massaging. EGF has a runner part, fixing itself to skin’s cells to prompt them to regenerate themselves and stimulate the elastin and collagen production. The skin is visibly thicker.I use the EGF serum few times a year, when season passes especially in the between autumn and winter and the skin needs an extra boots of help. The serum has a pretty thick texture but it is easy to apply just before a moisturiser.

Detaille brand was born from the encounter of young painter Charles Detaille and lyric singer Prelly, Marie-Aline de Pommayrac, aka Comtesse de Presle. At the bigining of the XXs century, she was one the first women to collect cars and to ride them. When driving and without windshield, her skin was prone to dehydration because of high speed and wind. She asked her dear friend Marcellin Berthelot, a politician and prominent chemist with his 1200 patents, to create a cosmetic that will protect her from high wind when driving. That’s how Baume Automobile was born in 1905, a high success thanks to word of mouth. With her daughter Suzanne, Prelly lunched her house Detaille.

Baume Automobile is the perfect lotion to protect your skin from external factors such as wind, rain, sun and pollution. It creates a veil composed of zinc oxide and minerals that matifies and soothes the skin. Proteins from wheat gives firmness and softness. The lotion is perfect as a make-up base but an hydrating cream is necessary for dry skin and during cold time. A new formula in an airless packaging has enhanced texture to a light gel, easier to apply with the addition of hyaluronic acid to maintain constant hydration, gatuline RC, a anti-aging from beech wood that will boost the consumption of oxygen and cellular renewal and osilift, a lifting ingredient from oats with a molecular weight that smooth the skin. Those last two ingredients are ecocert labelled, meaning they’re organic.

I love Detaille history, the shop is beautiful, you can feel that nothing has changed for so many decades. Baume Automobile is a rich lotion, it needs a good shake because some of the active ingredients lays on the bottom.
You can feel that it gives a very nourishing moisture, maybe too loud for mixed combinaison skin like mine. I’m mixing some with a moisturiser to make it lighter.
